  1. Somethinks sensible at last......

Hopefully it is passed and the UK follows suit.

I agree with the whole "untrained and unvetted people being hunters" remark.

I saw that Shane Brannigan put a post up asking if he should try to get a job with the NCA.......is he on more drugs than he already is? They would laugh at him if he even submitted a CV, I would love to see if he and indeed many hunters could pass a DBS/CRB check.

It is the question and has been seen over and over again.....Hunters have many many criminal offences, child endangerment, assault, ABH, GBH to name but a few.....but they are #initforthekids.

If they were in it for that purpose they would do as have been warned many a time and leave it to the trained/vetted professionals. Yes some get convictions and all you will ever see on their pages is convictions, but what they don't show is how many have arrests they have played a part in have walked or been found not guilty.

It also is funny how so many pages seem to be disappearing, one big one is 25/8 the day after they threatened Dr Oldfield......taking time off my backside.......more like running scared.

  2. Would love for these vigilante teams to be stopped. All this live streaming to get "likes" they are nothing but glory hunters. I think they should all do what dark justice and guardians of the North do and not live stream untill after convictions. Merry Christmas to all at OSC

  4. I will hazard a guess that RoboChav (Sarah Doherty) will announce that she will carry on regardless if the UK follows suit. Because as we all know, she's a 'propa hunta, innit.'

  5. Who can forget that video where Shane Brannigan was cuffed by the police. He actually said to the policewoman "How dare you interfere with my investigation?"

These people think they are above the law. Change the law and they will try and find a way around it. I think the police should simply stop arresting the guys they catch. Ignore their evidence and arrest them for public order offences. That may stop them but I think they will probably just start putting out actual addresses and encouraging violent vigilantes to turn up.

  6. This is the sort of changes we need to have in the UK. I think I'll contact my MP and refer him to this article, as well as other bungled stings and vigilante misbehaviour resulting in the police getting irritated.

Also interested to know what Amber Rudd would think if asked this directly.

Merry Christmas to all you sane and sensible people out there. I shall now have more wine.

"Why are they, almost always, such, ignorant, simpleton, fantasists?

We have seen, many stings, but, taking everything into account, this is one of the most disgusting, hateful, pointless, circus attacks, we have ever witnessed.

Inhumane obsession, driven by, hateful fantasy."

  8. As many of these hunters claim they would work for the police for free, big gob Sarah Doherty for one, you all would be sacked within a day. You wouldn’t be able to talk to people like shit then. As you all go around as a normal member of the public now, although still wrong, you can just about get away with it... I’m sure the police aren’t looking for new recruits like you lot... they only have to read through the drama on Facebook.

And.. what is the point in the bully of Sean Gower? All he does is share live stings. He’s another one who made a group up with his Scottish mate to bully

  9. 'Working alongside the police' when this comes in which it will I believe surely all people involved will have to pass a basic CBR/DBS type check at the very least? While hunting groups seem to welcome this involvement do they not realize it may wipe out 80% of the hunting community in one big swoop just by these checks alone as I'm sure the police know and have it planned this way to do so. Do the rest realize there would be no live stings and no facebook pages for the public to swoon after their teams anymore? They would not be allowed to. All convictions would be posted through local polices community facebook pages alongside all the rest caught (stung) by the police with no mention of a 'hunting team' who did the decoy work, they would not be hunting teams anymore with hunting teams names, for all intents and purposes they would become anonymous.

  11. Once you have a clear DBS check get ready for the next hurdle of certain requirements for working alongside the police.

    Convictions
Convictions/cautions/penalty notices etc will not automatically prevent you from appointment. However if the matter was within the last five years most forces will not accept your application. Individual circumstances will be considered depending on the circumstances and the nature of the offence.

    What must you declare?
Any conviction (includes motoring offences such as speeding)

Any police caution/Penalty Notice for Disorder

    Spent convictions

Any involvement in any criminal investigation that did not lead to prosecution

    Financial
Adverse financial history may prevent a successful application. This will entirely depend on the circumstances.

    Tattoos
Constables are subject to codes of conduct regarding their personal appearance so offensive tattoos will prevent appointment. You have to declare tattoos on your initial application form. Most forces will request you send images of the tattoos into them for their consideration.

To name but a few, there is a list of basic requirements for anyone who wishes to read more.

    Occupations non compatible;
Too many to list but a small example being,
Certain member of the NHS and Employees of Security Organisations.
Security Personnel, guards and door supervisors

Not forgetting; 'You must physically and mentally be able to undertake police duties'

While physical health may be overlooked for a static job at a desk while 'decoying' both mental wellness and stability would definitely not be overlooked in an area of child sexual abuse crimes and high risk re contact of child porn/indecent images ''you must be judged to mentally able to undertake your duties''
